Mary Virginia Ellison, age 89, lovingly referred to as 'Nina', passed away peacefully on June 14th, at her home in Martin County, FL with her loving husband of 71 years, Lloyd Ellison, by her side. Mary, born on May 25, 1934, in Clinton, SC, was the 13th child born to parents, Arthur and Mary Barker, at home on their farm.

Mary worked for many years at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, FL and her life was filled with kindness and compassion for others. She loved to cook southern food- her specialty being her made from scratch homemade biscuits and chicken and dumplings.

Mary was a dedicated mother, first and foremost. She treasured her two children, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her loving husband Lloyd Ellison; her two sons Tony and Eric Ellison; her three grandchildren Michael Ellison, Marlin Ellison, and Erica Ellison; and, her three great grandchildren Wyatt Ellison, Maggie Ellison, and Forrest Ellison who reside in Moody, Alabama.

Services will be held at Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home in Jupiter, FL on Friday June 23rd at 11:15 am, with burial to follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, FL.
