Von Ray Cloud, Sr., 80, of Keatchie, Louisiana, passed away on April 12, 2023.
Funeral services for Von will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Andrew Brewster.
Von Ray Cloud, Sr. was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to John Wesley and Julia Cloud on December 5, 1942. He graduated from Byrd High School and married his wife, Darlene Cloud, on November 30, 1962 in Shreveport. He retired as a car man from KCS Railroad. He was a racecar driver for many years at Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana and won many races and trophies with the help of his sons and grandsons. His passion in life was his family, racing and his other favorite hobby, fishing.
Von Ray Cloud Sr. is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Darlene Cloud. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Ray Cloud and wife, Lisa, and Randy Cloud and wife, Donette; siblings, Don, Bobby and Catherine; eight grandchildren, Randy Jr., Brian, Jesse, Matthew, Steven, Megan, Brandon and Ashley; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honoring Von as pallbearers will be Randy Cloud Jr., Brian Cloud, Jesse Cloud, Matthew Cloud, Brandon Cloud and Jason Burrell.
