Billye Ruth Murray, born on November 14, 1931, in Procter, Texas, to Alton and Daisy Abernathy, peacefully passed away at her home on January 11, 2024. Billye was a loving soul, known by many as "Granny," who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those around her.

Billye had a passion for creativity and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid seamstress, quilter, and knitter, pouring her love into every stitch. Her home was a haven for arts and crafts, a testament to her vibrant spirit.

Her joy multiplied with the sight of pictures of her grandbabies, and she reveled in playing cards, especially with her grandchildren, displaying a fierce competitiveness in Yahtzee. Billye's reputation for making homemade biscuits added a touch of warmth and love to every meal.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Corley Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Graveside services will take place on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Hamilton Beeman Cemetery at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Bobby Cooley officiating. Pallbearers will be Billy Dunn, Scott Andrews, Brian Murray, Jackson Onstott, Noah Malone, and Jimmy Wallace, with Robert Malone as an honorary pallbearer.

As we say our farewells, let us remember Billye for the love she shared, the warmth she brought, and the memories that will forever live on in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
