Johnny Mason "Booger" Bishop February 14, 1955 ~ February 12, 2024 (age 68)


Johnny Mason "Booger" Bishop,68, of Blacksburg, S.C. passed away Monday, February 12, 2024, at Century Care of Shelby, N.C.


He was the son of the late Paul J. & Ola Mae Hardin Bishop.


Left to cherish his memory are a sister Paula Bishop Hodges (Doug) of the Dominican Republic, a brother Eddie J Bishop (Nancy) of Blacksburg, S.C., a sister-in-law, Pat Bishop of Ringo, Ga. and a nephew Paul Bishop (Cindy) of Blacksburg, S.C.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Bishop.


He graduated from Blacksburg High School, worked for the Town of Blacksburg, The SC Welcome Center and Mastec. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, camping, the outdoors and animals.


Visitation will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.


A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Clingman Memorial Gardens with family officiating. Pallbearers serving are Paul Bishop, Sonny Harris, Brian West, Jason West, Todd Garner and Malachi Ford.
