Mr. Roy Key, 87, of Colorado City, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006, in a local hospital. Graveside services were held Thursday, January 19, with Kenneth Foy Key officiating, under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Key was born to Walter and Zannie Allmond Key on May 1, 1918, in Colorado City. He married Pat Bassham on July 19, 1940, in Colorado City. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a Methodist and a lifelong resident of Colorado City.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pat Key of Colorado City; two sons, Bill and Billie Faye Key of Colorado City and Ken Key of Austin; six grandchildren, Sheila Janson of Odessa, Kenny Key of Austin, Miki Chaney of Colorado City, Melony Moncebaiz of Austin, Alicia Key of Ruidosa, New Mexico and Kody Key of Austin; and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Breeden.
