Toy Omer Bryan Jr., a resident of Dothan, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 67.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Big Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating and Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Bryan was born on February 6, 1941 in Mobile and spent most of his life in Dothan. He was a 1964 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in aeronautical engineering as well as a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Air Force as an officer. After his retirement he returned to the area and was employed as a manager and inventory control officer with several steel fabrication companies. Mr. Bryan was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his sons Toy Omer Bryan III and his wife Carrie of Birmingham, Roy Dalton Bryan and his wife Jaime of Dothan; Alicia Hansen and her husband Jim of Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Toy Omer Bryan IV, Chandler Dalton Bryan, Amber Hand, Roy Dalton Bryan Jr.

Robert Byrd of Sunset Memorial Park, Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC, of Dothan, is in charge of arrangements.
