Helen Burnette, 104, of Camilla passed away peacefully Monday, February 12, 2024 at her daughter's residence in Camilla.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16 at First Baptist Church in Camilla with interment in Pelham City Cemetery. Jerry Palmer will officiate.
Born May 4, 1919 in Hopeful, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Daisy Eidson and was widow of Stanley Huey and Hezekiah Burnette. Helen entered the workforce after being widowed at a young age. She worked as a work order clerk for Mitchell EMC while raising her son and daughter. She played the role of mother and father in a time when that wasn't common. Despite these struggles, she always provided a loving and warm home for her children. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Camilla.
Survivors include ……… She is also survived by loving caregivers…. and a very special friend,….
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, before services, at First Baptist Church in Camilla.
