Jackie Lee, passed away on Feb 9 , 2024 in Claremore, OK at the age of 88 years old.

He was first and foremost a loving father. He lived his life helping many people but he supported his children, David and Barbara, with immense love, concern and patience. He was married to Ruth Ann Beadles for 64 years of devotion. This included the later years of his life caring full-time for his wife.

His entire career was about helping others as a counselor, educator and administrator. His Christian beliefs were interwoven throughout his lifetime of service. He was intellectually curious, staying abreast of current issues, reading extensively in history, religion, psychology and world affairs. He earned a Masters in Personnel Administration from the Oklahoma State University and served in the counseling center before becoming the Dean of Student Affairs at East Texas Baptist College. He relied on his ethical precepts to guide him in being fair to others and giving sound advice without judgment. His wisdom was relied upon by family, especially by his children, friends and those who worked with him.

He was an excellent athlete who attended college at Northwestern University in Alva, Oklahoma on a basketball scholarship. He later started the women's basketball team and the men's golf team at East Texas Baptist College. He was still playing tennis, chasing down balls across the courts, at age 85 with his son, David.

He valued his upbringing in Western Oklahoma where his parents, Ellen (Applebee) and Joseph Beadles, worked hard to support him and his six brothers. Their devotion to their children, despite very difficult circumstances, was an inspiration to him and one that he emulated throughout his life of love to his children and family. He ensured that he and his six brother's remained close even as they grew up and had their own families across multiple states. His Christian values were admired by most who knew him including the families of his children which includes David's wife Tammy, her daughter Mary and Barbara's husband, Matt.

He leaves behind his wife Ruth Ann, his children and their families. He is also survived by his brother Tony as well as the wife of his brother Kenneth, Sharon, the wife of his brother Harold, Margaret and the wife of his brother Joe, Mary. He also leaves behind cousins in Alva, Ok and nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
