Rhoda North Hansen, 92 passed away April 23, 2008 at the Willow Wood Care Center in East Millcreek, Utah.
Born December 6, 1915 in Salt Lake City, to George W. and Annie Greenwood North. Married Herman S. (Bud) Hansen on November 5, 1943 in Salt Lake. Marriage later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple in 1969.
Rhoda enjoyed being with her family. She was a great cook, and at her home you were always welcome and well feed. Rhoda loved being a Grandma, it took many years, but she finally became one in 1989 when the joys of her life were born, Michael and BreAnne. She loved her home, she loved to be of service to those around her. She liked to travel in the United States, and traveled to England and Europe several times. Served in her L.D.S. Stake and Ward Relief Society Presidencies. Member and past President of the University of Utah Mothers Club. Member and past President of the Salt Lake City Mothers Club.
She is survived by Sons Richard H. Hansen (Denise) and Robert M. Hansen ( Mary) and two Grandchildren BreAnne and Michael S. Hansen, Sister Phyllis Lingwall and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband Herman (Bud) Hansen, sisters Mary and Maxine and their husbands Charles and Morris and brother George A. and his wife Wanda, brother Douglas who died in England and brother-in-law Ed Lingwall.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Millstream LDS Ward Chapel, 3485 South 1100 East. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Larkin Mortuary 260 East South Temple Street, and one hour prior to the Services at the Ward.
Interment at Lake Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
