Gerald P. Moss, 83, of Harker Heights, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2020. He was born in Rogers, TX on November 16, 1936 to parents General Jackson Moss and Gertrude Bearden.

Gerald was a mischief-maker who knew how to make a room laugh and always had a joke for any situation. He was an avid-reader and enjoyed a good western novel, always keeping a Louis L'Amore handy. He was known for his quick-wit, kind-heart, and generosity. He could single- handedly polish off a gallon of Blue Bell ice cream and always kept one hand petting a dog.

Most important to him was being with family and friends, of which he had many. He was loved immensely by all and will be greatly missed.

Gerald was preceded in death by his sisters Marcia Lee, Emmaliane, Dianne, and his children, Ronald and Sharon. Gerald is survived by his wife Pauline, siblings Kenneth, Billy, and Patricia, and his children David, Alvin, Peggy, and Melissa. He is also survived by his grandchildren Sandra, Clayton, Brittney, Jacquelyn, Hayden, Kelsey, and ten great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at 9:30am, Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Killeen Memorial Cemetery, 3516 Lake Road, Killeen, TX 76543. In memory of Gerald's love of reading to the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas (https://willread.org/donate/) in lieu of flowers.
