Joe Foos had been ill for a number of years, following an injury in the submarine mine at Clinton. He was a lifelong resident of Vermillion County. He was the son of Joseph and Lovisa Potter Foos. He is survived by the aged mother, Mrs. Lovisa Foos of Newport, his wife Lydia Wilkins Foos, 4 children, Marie, Louise, Frank, and Helen; 3 brothers, Edgar, Buck, and Claude; 4 sisters, Mrs. Bertha Grady of MA, Mrs. Kate Swaim of Danville, IL; Mrs. Almetta Brown of Montezuma, and Miss Edyth Foos of Rosedale, and a large number of friends and relatives.
