Blanche J. McCartney, formerly of East 4th Street, Oil City, died at 6:50 pm Wednesday, May 31, in Crawford County Home, Saegertown. She was born July 30, 1900, in Trumbull County, OH, daughter of Cecil and Louisa Armstrong Dyson.
She was of the Methodist faith, a lifelong member of Oil City VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and was a Gold Star Mother.
On July 22, 1920, she married Charles L. McCartney, who died Jan. 9, 1956.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Annabelle) Rowe of Franklin; a sister, Anna Trisket of Mineral Ridge, OH; 7 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Garden.
