Lewis if he had a match with him; he gave me a match, and I light the lamp; and then lifted the sacks he laid under; he was entirely dead: found from four to six sacks on top of him: the same having accidentally! fallen there. W F. Lewis, sworn, testified as follow: Last evening went to Mr. Callahan's; stopped a while; came home and perhaps, at 8 o'clock went to bed; lit the light and Andrew turned over and asked where Bill was; told him he had gone to Mr. Wofford's I then laid down and heard nothing more 'til William called to me for a match; he remarked: the bed-place is filed with sacks; where's Andy? Soon as lamp was lighted, he (Bill), commenced moving sacks from deceased, and exclaimed; Oh God, he is dead! Believe the falling of the sacks was wholly accidental.
