Bobbie Lee Sanchez Ackman, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at The Crossing with family by her side on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the age of 80. She was a resident of Bayou Pigeon and a native of White Castle, LA. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 9am to 12pm with Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine at 12:30pm, celebrated by Father Joe Camilleri. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Bobbie Lee is survived by her daughters, Amanda McAlister (Mark), and Lahoma Torregrossa (Ronnie); sons, Johnny Ackman (Tamie), Michael Ackman (Monique), and Dale Ackman (Debbie); grandchildren, Jonathan Ackman (Sara), Paige Ackman, Brittni McAlister Tullier (Daven), Lexie McAlister Riley (Bradley), Tiffany Ackman (Tyler), Meghan Collier (Jonathan), Danny Torregrossa (Carmen) and Blane Torregrossa; great grandchildren, Sawyer, Carter, Shaylee, Sydnee, Aubrey, Bentley and Theo; sisters, Sadie Falcon, Mary Ann Robillard, and Patricia Hess (Phill); brothers, Herman Sanchez (Leanna), and Randall Sanchez (Maxine); and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ackman, Sr.; son, Howard Ackman, Jr.; granddaughter, Keisha Ponville; parents, Albert and Rosella Sanchez; siblings, Alma Sanchez and Albert Sanchez, Jr.; and son-in-law, Leon Torregrossa. Pallbearers will be Johnny, Michael, Dale and Jonathan Ackman, Danny Torregrossa and Mark McAlister. Bobbie Lee loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved dancing, music and playing cards.
