John Anthony Alvarez, 51, of Phoenix, Arizona entered into heaven on February 9, 2023.
John was born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 20, 1971 to Angie Aguilar Rivas and Martin Alvarez, the third of seven children.
John grew up in Phoenix and attended Peoria High School. John was a communicator. He loved to talk, share stories. He was an artist. He loved working with his hands and feeling accomplished when he completed projects. John had a passion for building.
He worked in all fields of construction; painting, demolition, drywall, and became a renovation specialist. John was an "Arizona" team man, rooting for the Cardinals and Diamond Backs.
John married Kathye A. Gonzalez on August 8, 2020. Johnny had a huge heart, no matter what he was always there for us. Johnny loved fishing even though he never got a fish. He liked long drives with the dogs and we would just drive until we could find a place to walk w our babies. We had dogs and he called them our babies.
John leaves behind his wife and friend Kathye; his mother Angie Rivas; sister Theresa Lopez; and many other family and close friends.
A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Love Baptist Church, Glenn Palms, 3030 W. Glendale Ave,, Glendale, AZ 85051.
A graveside service will occur Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM at Glendale Memorial Park Cemetery, 7844 N 61st. Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Glenn Palms, 3030 West Glendale Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85051.
