Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church in Beulah. Burial will be in Beulah cemetery. The casket will be open at the Roberts-Blue Funeral chapel Thursday from 1 o'clock in the afternoon until 9 o'clock in the evening.
Mr Corson was born March 14, 1846, in Cape May county, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Mr and Mrs Somers Corson. Mr Corson had been a carpenter for 32 years. He came to Cherokee county, Kansas in 1884 and moved to Emporia in May 1936. Mr Corson married Lucinda A Preston on January 17, 1868, in Springfield, Ill. Mr Corson died February 28, 1912, in Pittsburg. Mr Corson was a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs Cynthia Durkee and Mrs Effie Roeser, both of Kansas City, Mo, Mrs E L Leaper of Rolla, and Mrs JK Hartmon, of Pequea, Pa and a son, Harry R Corson of Emporia.
