Barbara Jean Ashmore, 79, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015. She was born January 21, 1936 to Andrew and Wilma (Hale) Smith. She attended Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK and later attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK.
Jean married the love of her life, Fred Ashmore, February 24, 1956 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Jean loved her family very much. She also loved her pets, history, the arts, music, and one of her greatest attributes, laughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary; and son, Scott.
Jean is survived by her husband, Fred; daughters, Terri and Vicki and their children and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Fred and Jean's House on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 3:00 pm
