Daughter of Gardner Fletcher and Harriet Victoria (Rutledge) Sanderson. Known to Vail by 1888, as she was listed as a passenger on board his yacht when they docked in Camden, ME due to fog, en route to Bar Harbor, ME from Boston, MA. Married to Theodore N. Vail on 27 Jul 1907 in Brookline, MA. In Sept 1922 per her passport application to return to Lyndonville, VT after traveling for seven months through France, Holland, the British Isles, Belgium, Italy, and Switzerland: 58 yrs old, 5'-7" tall, medium forehead and nose, brown eyes, regular mouth, round chin, brown hair, medium complexion, round face. And from a DAR application:

Ebenezer Bancroft. ; Daughter of Gardner Fletcher Sanderson (1837-89) and Harriet Victoria Rutledge (b. 1842), his wife, m. 1862. ; Granddaughter of Jonathan Fletcher Sanderson (1792-1835) and Christiana Towne (1796-1831), his wife, m. 1816. ; Gr-granddaughter of Gardner Towne (1765-1815) and Lucy Bancroft (1773-1849), his wife, m. 1795. ; Gr-gr-granddaughter of Ebenezer Bancroft and Susannah Fletcher (1737-1823), his wife, m. 1763. ; Ebenezer Bancroft (1738-1827) commanded a company at Bunker Hill, where he was wounded.
