Funeral service for Fannie Petty, 83, of Lufkin will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Enon Cemetery.

Mrs. Petty was born November 2, 1940 in Kennard, Texas, daughter of the late Ruby Lee Herman and Thomas Enoch Griggs. She passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at her residence.

Fannie was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She loved to watch old movies, play dominoes, and spend time with her family, specially her grandchildren.

Survivors include daughter, Melba Menne of Frankston; stepchildren, Sandra Pickens, Ann Bowdoin, Ruth Steed, and Ruff Petty; grandchildren, Joshua Menne of Frankston and Tamara Menne of Tyler; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Alley, Wyatt, Michael, David, Jack, and Maci; brother, Tommy Griggs and wife, Dana, of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Max Petty.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
