Bob Obituary
On Wednesday, January 31st Robert Ross, 86 of Rome, PA died when his physical heart stopped during an ablation procedure. Robert "Bob" aka "Poppy" was born on April 3rd, 1937 to Edward and Elma Ross of Potterville, PA. He was the 4th of 5 children born to them.

Bob graduated from LeRaysville High School in 1955. He also graduated from the diesel repair program at Penn Tech in Williamsport, PA.

Bob was employed for 23 years at IBM Owego where he worked in a clean room soldering through an 8 power microscope. He was married to Nancy Keeler for 56 years. Together they raised 2 boys, Ed and Scott. Between the 2 boys, 10 grandkids came into being. A pretty good return on the investment. Bob served his community through Big Brothers, reading help at Towanda Schools, drove school van, postal carrier and fixing broken things. He owned over 70 cars in his life and worked on many more. Bob served the North Rome Wesleyan Church and his Lord as a trustee, Bible Quiz coach, drama coach, sound man and choir member back in the day. Bob went on his first missions' trip when he was 79 years old.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, his sister and brother-in-law Mary and Roe Russell, brother-in-law: Louis Rockwell; and a brother Edward. He is survived by his sister: Shirley Rockwell of Rome, PA and brother and sister-in-law: Gary and Louise Ross of Wilson, VA as well as his two sons and daughters-in-law: Edward and Sara Ross of Forksville, PA and Scott and Doreen Ross of Rome as well as grandchildren: Amanda (Jonathan) Laudermilch, Aaron (Lara) Ross, Ashton (Terina) Ross, Avery (Rachel) Ross, Kate Ross, Abigail (Dan) Moyer, Ian Ross, Alyssa Ross, Anna Ross and Emily Ross along with18 great grandkids and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, February 10th from 10 -12 pm at the North Rome Wesleyan Church. A funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting his guestbook at www.sutfinfuneralchapel.com
