Barbara Blume Eudy was born June 14, 1934, in Turkey, TX. She was the first child of Milton T. and Mayme Ellis Blume. Barbara was married to her college sweetheart, Jay Eudy, for sixty-eight years. Together they have two sons, Steve Eudy of Anderson, SC, Scott (Lavonna) Eudy of Tampa, FL; two daughters, Jill (Stan) Roberts of Levelland, TX, and Jayne Blume of Lubbock, TX. They were blessed with 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Barbara graduated from Texas Tech in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and went on to attain her Master of Education from West Texas State University. Her 30-year teaching career included teaching students' homemaking, kindergarten, and third grade. Barbara was a member of the Llano Estacado Study Club, Retired Teachers, First Methodist Church in Levelland, Alpha Chi Omega, and weekly Bridge Club.
The last year of her life, she was blessed to have her dear friend and caregiver, Irene Mendez, by her side.

Barbara lived her life around the table as she loved and drew people into community. Her favorite person at her table was always her loving husband, Jay, who she adored and loved with her whole heart and who spent countless hours at her table. She began living her life around her table with her four children as she taught, loved, and nurtured them. Meanwhile, her table would grow to include the large number of students she was able to teach and mentor through homemaking and elementary classrooms. Soon, her table included the nursing homes where she would lead devotionals, play the piano, and nurture the elderly, until the last year of her life. In her home at her table, you would find her serving meals; playing games with her grandchildren and great grands; reading books; hosting and playing Bridge weekly; or deep in conversation with friends in person or on the phone. Barbara loved to host and was a fabulous cook. Her table was always open to anyone who needed a meal, a laugh, or a listening ear. While sitting at her table, anyone around her would know that her faith in Jesus came first and foremost in her life. Everyone who knew Barbara knew they had a seat at her table.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Eudy; her parents, Milton and Mayme Blume; and her grandson, Trey Alan Roberts. She is survived by her brother David (Joyce) Blume of Amarillo, nieces, nephews and those mentioned above.
