Memorial services will be held at a later date for Joseph Euclide Hernandez, 91, who died Wednesday, October 5 at his residence in Rayne.
A lifelong resident of Rayne, he was a Korean War veteran, one of the Chosin Few. He taught accounting at LTC in Crowley, now SLCC, for 23 years.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Arnould Hernandez, his daughter Juanita (Luke) Bienvenu, and his son Joseph (Trisha) Hernandez, grandchildren Christopher, Michelle, Stephen, and Andrew (Sadie) Bienvenu, Bridget (Kendall) Hunter, and Jayden Hernandez, his sister-in-law Thelma Hernandez, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierre Hernandez and Amelia Broussard Hernandez, a daughter, Rebecca Marie Hernandez and a brother, Étienne Hernandez.
