FORT WAYNE, IN- The Allen County Coroner's Office says they have identified the victims who were killed in a shooting Monday evening.

Fort Wayne police say they were called to a home on Romy Avenue, near East State Boulevard, on Monday evening about a shooting. There, officers say they found two people, a man and a female juvenile, in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. The two were pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday, the coroner identified the victims as 18-year-old Lamarion Jeremiah Bailey of LaGrange, Georgia, and 17-year-old Adaija Armani Okey of Fort Wayne.

Native of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. Adaija was a daughter of Cormelia Smith and Antjuan Okey born on April 27, 2006.

She was a student at Snider High School. She was accepted to Marian University on a full ride scholarship in business. Adaija was a makeup artist owning Glam'd by Armani and was an aspiring model. She modeled in LA Fashion Week and was to attend NY Fashion Week. "Daisy" as she was known, loved to shop, travel and spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoyed making Tik Toks. She was an Ambassador of many brands including her sister's. Bentley was her canine best friend. We will miss her beautiful smile and compassion towards others. Daisy was a beautiful person inside and out.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gregory Wheeler, great-grandmothers, Bessie G. Smith, Betty Archie, Thelma Diamond and great-great-grandmother, Lou Booker and cousin, Jamir Okey.

Precious memories will always remain with her mother, Cormelia Smith; father, Antjuan Okey (Jamie Bockmon); sisters, Taetum (Patrick) Romero, Trinity and Terahn Patterson, Raniyah Black, Antavia Okey; special sister, Alexcia Finan; nieces and nephews, Zafina Romero, Kyrie Patterson, and Sevyn Okey; a grandfather, Clyde (Audra) Brabson; grandmothers, Bonnie Okey and Kimberley Smith; great-grandmother, Julia Brabson; aunties, Gwendolyn (Carl) Woods, Connie (Richard) Okey-Thompson; uncles, Marcus Underwood, Demaree Smith, Marcus (Nakia) and Rodney Okey; a special Auntie Kachell Smith; with a host of cousins, (a special cousin, Lea Smith); best friends, Saniya Ross and Cole Rybolt and many other friends.
