Gail Baird Jr. Obituary
Most loving grandfather, amazing husband and best dad ever!
McBain - Gail Terry Baird Jr., of McBain, passed away at home on Saturday, January 27, 2024, with family by his side. He was 62.
Gail was born on February 1, 1961, in Cadillac, Michigan to Gail and Marlene (Campbell) Baird Sr. On October 15, 1983, Gail entered into marriage with the former Shawn Sims in Cadillac.
Gail would pass the time working in the garage, or getting in a game of disc golf with friends and family. He truly loved spending time with the family, especially his grandkids that he got to create many fond memories with going out for breakfast or going for rides in the slingshot. Gail enjoyed sitting around the campfire, star gazing, and being home holding cookouts. Gail's favorite pastime was spending any free time with his family and dogs, especially babydog.
Gail is survived by his wife, Shawn Baird of McBain; his children, Krystal (Eric) Watrous, Brandon Baird, Brock (Chrystal) Baird, and Brian Sims; 11 grandchildren, Parker, Ryder, Kamron, Kingston, Ean, Ozzy, Alexander, Cheyanne, Savanna, Ellianna and Briella; three brothers, Kim, Dan, and Jeffrey; two sisters, Renee and Tina; as well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kelvin "Kelly" Baird and Jeff Baird.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family gathering celebrating Gail's life will be held at a later date in the summer. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.HoldshipFuneralHomes.com The family is being served by the Holdship Family of Funeral Homes and Cremation Services.
