Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Bennett, 68-year-old Chouteau resident, passed away January 25, 2024 at Clarehouse in Tulsa, surrounded by her family. She was born February 6, 1955 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Perry and Dorothy (Hagar) Wassom. She grew up and attended school in Chouteau, Oklahoma. She married Daniel Bennett October 10, 1985.
Kathy was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church in Chouteau until its closing several years ago. She was a Supervisor for Orchid Paper Products until her retirement. A natural homebody, Kathy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was lovingly remembered for her Saturday house cleaning.
Kathy is survived by her son, Jeff Thomas and wife, Tammy, of Pryor; grandchildren, Courtney Barnes and husband, Dalton, of Chouteau, Justin Thomas of Pryor, Makayla Thomas of Pryor, and Madyson Thomas of Pryor; great-grandchildren, Kara and Jayde Thomas of Chouteau; sister, Bev Stimson of Chouteau; and brother, Jerry Wassom and wife, Robbie, of Chouteau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Bennett; and her parents, Perry and Dorothy Wassom.
