Mrs. Frances Chapman Byrd, 97, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Everett Byrd. She is survived by her daughter, Myra B. Fazzi and her husband, Richard and their daughters, Melanie and Stephanie; her son, Edward A. Byrd and his wife, Lisa and their children, Michael and Cate; and her son, Stuart E. Byrd and his wife, Edna and their daughter, Courtney. Mrs. Byrd was a longtime member of Providence United Methodist. She retired from Defense General Supply Center. Her family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Bliley's – Chippenham, 6900 Hull St. Rd., where a ceremony will follow at 2 p.m. Her ashes will be inurned at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Providence United Methodist Church.
