Dovy Sue Addison passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. She was born on August 18, 1939, to Wilson W. and Ruby M. Birchett.

Sue was a member of the Church of Christ in Osceola and retired from American Greetings. She liked to quilt, sew, and craft. Sue enjoyed gardening, flowers, and feeding the birds and hummingbirds. She always loved her Pomeranian dogs. She used to love to fish and hunt as well.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Donna Sue (Darin) Arnett; grandchildren, Courtney (Bradley) Putman, Tyler (Courtney) Matthews, Jonathan Olive, Jeremy (Alexandria) Olive; great-grandson, Jack Franklin Putman; sister, Peggy Harris of Lynchburg, VA; daughter in law, Judy Olive Cambra and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Dwain Addison; son, Johnny Wayne Olive and sister, Bonnie Condery Knapp.

A life celebration at Roller-Swift Funeral Home on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. Interment at Sandy Ridge Cemetery.

The family of Dovy Sue Addison would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful, caring nurses, aides, and caregivers. Also, Hospice of Tennesse and Alabama and all of the special people that came into her and her daughter's life during this final journey to go and be with the Lord. You all have touched our hearts forever.
