Elizabeth (Liz) Abbott McWhorter was born October 27, 1927, in Rocky Ford, Colorado and passed from this life on January 21, 2024, in Troy, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sophia Abbott of Benton, Arkansas; her husband, James McWhorter of Troy, Missouri. Both Liz and Jim were long time residents of Tull, Arkansas. Her sister, Fredia Good and husband Vernon Good of Sherwood, Arkansas; her brother, David Abbott and wife Julie of Denver, Colorado; her brother-in-law, David Woodall of Little Rock, Arkansas, her grand daughter-in-law, Angie Reynolds of Troy, Missouri.

She is survived by one sister, Naomi Woodall of Little Rock, Arkansas; her only daughter Jessie Reynolds and husband Wayne of Troy, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kevin Reynolds and wife Regina of Troy, Missouri; Beth Adey and husband Brian of Troy, Missouri; Paul Reynolds and wife Tricia of Warren, Michigan; Tanya Alls and husband John of Troy, Missouri. 13 great-grandchildren, Kevin James Reynolds and wife Kassie of Warrenton, Missouri; Joshua Reynolds and Amada of Troy, Missouri; Melynda Reynolds of Wright City, Missouri; Samantha Reynolds, Jessica Reynolds, Zachery Reynolds, Derrick Reynolds of Warren, Michigan; Emily Long and husband Isaac of Midland, Ohio; Hannah Dobbs and husband Aaron of Moscow Mills, Missouri; Sierra Alls, Jazmine Alls, Brianna Adey, B. J. Adey of Troy, Missouri; and four great-grandchildren.

There are many more relatives and friends than we can mention here, but rest assured you are remembered by the family.

She was a member of Saline Baptist Church since 1958 and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was an officer of AARP and a driving instructor for AARP. She taught Sunday school since age 19 and taught Vacation Bible School for many years.
