Alison Kaye Brase, 41, suddenly passed away on January 20, 2024.

Alison was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Scot and Lynn Ribar, and grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota. Alison attended Burnsville public schools and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at St. Cloud State University. Alison loved sports of all kinds, but especially hockey and golf, which she played competitively at St. Cloud State. Alison's high school interest in law enforcement led her to her Phoenix, Arizona, where she successfully graduated as a fully sworn police officer, working in several precincts. She then became a Field Training Officer to train new officers, and later, earned a position working at Court Services. Alison served honorably for the Police Department until 2015, when she decided to leave to be a stay-at-home mom. When her son started school, Alison became a full-time substitute teacher so she could be with him as he navigated his way through elementary school.

Alison enjoyed traveling back to Minnesota several times a year to stay at her lake house in Brainerd. She loved fishing, boating, and jet skiing. Alison dedicated her life to her husband and son. She adored any activity that involved these two very important people. Alison's sparkling eyes, dimples and beautiful smile lit up everywhere she went. She will always be remembered by her sense of humor, laughter, shenanigans and as a kind-hearted person to all. Alison touched everyone's heart in some special way and will be sincerely missed.

Alison is survived by her husband Geary; son, Brody; stepdaughters Teisha (Ben) Belanger, Tana Brase (Dustin); mother, Lynn Ribar; father, Scot (Lisa) Ribar; sisters Amy Fischer, Angela (Cyle Warwick) Ribar; grandparent's Don and Kaye Prettyman; step-grandchildren CJ, Kennedy, Bear, Fox and Koralynn; nieces Kali and Libby Fischer; and by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Alison is preceded in death by her grandparents Shirley and Laudy Ribar, in-laws Clarence and Carole Brase

Visitation will be held at Church of St Peter, 1405 Sibley Memorial Highway, Mendota, MN, on Thursday, February 8, at 10AM, Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. A reception will follow mass. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery.
