Mr. Carl Wayne Adams, age 68, passed away very unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Overflow Worship Center in Ellaville, with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen are asked to serve as pallbearers: Isaac Adams, Josiah Adams, Jonathan Douglas, Lonnie Ritz, Steven Lowell, and Timothy Strickland.

Born August 19, 1954 in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Carl Lee Adams and the late Betty Ruth O'Kelly Adams. Wayne was of the Christian faith, always putting God first, and was the owner of Wayne Adams & Sons Builders for 47 years. He was a lover of life, who liked to spend time gardening, cooking and tending to his chickens. Wayne was a people lover and a true outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting, and arrow-head hunting with his wife Lori.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Johnathan Strickland.
