Born in Wisconsin as the youngest of 8 brothers, her family moved to LA after WW2. Marilyn attended Hollywood High, obtained a BS degree at UCLA (where she joined the Phi Betta Kappa society), and later obtained a Master's degree from CSU Northridge.
She pursued a career in the computer industry, and married after college, raising 3 children. She later divorced and returned briefly to the work industry.
She enjoyed playing tennis, golf, bicycling, bridge and world travel. She often attended the LA Philharmonic. She was a serious and critical reader, whether studying stock reports or enjoying the selection of her book club groups. Her sharp mind remained intact to the end.
Her biggest love was for her dogs. She was survived by Lady Beth, a Welsh Corgi, who has been lovingly rehomed with one of Marilyn's long-term caregivers.
Marilyn was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial next to 2 of her brothers and her mother.
Memorial services are scheduled for January 27, 2024 from 11-1 at the Brentwood Presbyterian Church, located at 12000 San Vicente Blvd.
