Ernest Dale Justesen, 86 returned home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was surrounded by his wife and daughter and loving nurses. Ernest was born on Dec. 22, 1936, in Spring Canyon, Utah. His parents were Donald Glen Justesen and Evona Laverne (Thomas)Justesen. Ernest graduated from North Sanpete High School and then joined the Navy. He settled in Brigham City and became a police officer. During his life he also worked as a miner, carpenter, and an entrepreneur.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, daughter Dana (Dan)Hauptfleisch, son, Kenneth (Maggie) Justesen, daughter Kathy (Steve) Stuertzel, son, Dale Justesen, son Ricky Hicks, son Remus Gray, stepdaughters Candace and Jodie Sloneicki. Preceded in death by first wife Connie Johanson Craner, second wife Susan Sloneicki Justesen, sons Neil Justesen and Roland Hicks.
He will be interred in the Price City Cemetery on Saturday, October 21 at 2:00 pm. There will be a graveside memorial and dedication. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to cover funeral expenses.
