He was born in Abilene, TX, on June 4, 1944.
He attended Novice High School in Novice, TX, and married Sharon, his high school sweetheart, on June 25, 1964.
Until retiring, James worked as a dispatcher for TD Industries.
James was joined in death by his wife, Sharon Kirby, and beloved dog Huckleberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Dexter Beeson and Hazel Kirby; and two siblings: Dorothy Vineyard and Patricia Parton.
He is survived by two siblings: Eola Lewis of Coleman, TX, and Eddie Kirby of Rowlett, TX; two children: Robin Kriechbaum and husband Todd of Rowlett, TX, and Brady Kirby and wife Laura Michelle of Poetry, TX; five grandchildren: Bailey Kirby and wife Michelle Bangson, Spencer Pratt, Kellan Kirby, Campbell Kirby, and Wilson Kirby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Generations Church at Sabine Creek Ranch in Royse City, TX, on Tuesday, January 23, at 2 pm. Interment will take place at a later date during a private ceremony at Camp Ground Cemetery in Poetry, TX.
Sharon and James met their Creator the same way they did everything—together. They will be dearly missed by family and friends.
