LENOIR Smith Taylor Lackey of Lenoir Route Two 30 year old sawmill worker died in a local hospital at 5:15 Sunday following an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Tuesday at Union Baptist church with the Rev Barnes and the Rev Earl Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Greer Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral and burial anangements.

Mr. Lackey born in South Carolina July 22, 1926, is survived by his parents Millard and Nellie Smith Lackey of Lenoir; two brothers Dock Samuel Lackey and Arvil Robert Lackey both of Lenoir and one sister Mrs Colleen Shores of Lenoir.
