Alice Jean Edwards, of Clever, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 03, at the age of 90. She was born in Aurora, Missouri, the daughter of Cameron and Ada (Burke) Willcock. She grew up in Aurora, along with her older brother, Edwin. In 1957, Jean married William "Red" Edwards, and to this union, they had two children, Jackie and Jim. Jean like to cook. Taco salad night and onion ring night were the most requested. She loved cooking for her family, and they loved it too. Each of them had their own personal favorites. Chili was another of her specialties, winning her first prize in the local chili cook-off. She also loved to crochet, making baby blankets and Afghans. Jean was a social woman and liked to talk. Which was perfect, with her working in the local grocery stores. Jean is preceded in death by her parents and her older brother. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William "Red" Edwards; two children, Jackie and Jim Velten and Jim and Vicki Edwards; five grandchildren, Jeremy and JaeLeann Velten, Jared and Jessica Summer Edwards, Alex Edwards, Taylor and Garrett Pruitt; three great grandchildren, Emma, Ricky and Hayden; her in-laws Cliff and Carol Edwards; their 15 year old cat, Buddy; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends. No formal service is planned. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, pleas donate to St. Jude's Children's Research in Alice Edwards name.
