Gloria Kay Nordstrom, 68, of Wahoo, Nebraska, entered into rest on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

She was born December 19, 1955 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Charles and Helen (Needham) Frahm.

Gloria graduated from Minden High School in 1975.

Byron and Gloria found their soul mates at a young age. In 8th grade, Gloria rode her horses to the country school to pick up Byron so they could go riding after school. They laughed later in life at not knowing Byron didn't like horses. They were united in marriage on July 10th, 1980, in Wahoo, Nebraska.

Gloria was a proud daughter, sister, wife, and mother of military family members. Her parents were both veterans of WWII. Her father served in the Army Air Corps and her mother in the Navy WAVES. Her brother Mark served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Her son Donnie served 5 tours in the Air Force. Gloria proudly supported her husband during his military career based in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

After raising their children, Gloria worked at Hinky Dinky in Wahoo. Following her career at Hinky Dinky Gloria found her calling supporting and serving others at Region V services for over 20 years until her retirement. She was known to frequently bring clients to the farm to see the animals and even spend holidays with her and her family.

During her battle with cancer Byron and Gloria Nordstrom were able to achieve their life long goal of building and moving to their country dream home complete with livestock including donkeys, horses, cows, and eventually goats.

When Gloria wasn't working, she loved spending time with her family, including her ten grandchildren, attending their activities.

She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, riding her horses, camping, baking, puzzles and Hallmark movies.

In Gloria's eyes anyone and everyone she met she treated and loved them like a member of her family.

She was a dedicated member of the Swedeburg Covenant Church.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Byron; children, Jessie (R.J.) Linder of Overton, NE, Donnie (Crystal) Nordstrom of Alliance, NE, Andy (Lacie) Nordstrom of Wahoo, NE and Robert (Jamie) Nordstrom of Naper, NE; grandchildren, Lilly and Violet Nelms, Wyatt Linder, Richard and Zackary Nordstrom, Trenton Erdmann, Austyn and Charlie Nordstrom , Lane and Cash Nordstrom; brother, Mark (Laurie) Frahm of Great Falls, MT; sister, Sue (Jeff) Larson of Minden, NE; brother-in-law, Tim Nordstrom of Wahoo, NE; special friends, Larry and Kim Houfek, Bonnie Schreiber; many other family members and friends.
