Randy came into the world on April 12th, 1952, in Eldora, one of three children born to Edmund and Lillian (Bittner) Schoborg. He received his education in the Union-Whitten schools. He farmed alongside his parents at Union until 1978, then moving to Marshalltown. He later moved to Iowa Falls and Eldora in August of 2020. He had been employed in custodial work and at Wal-Mart.
Randy enjoyed the outdoors and going antiquing. For many years he searched for an antique crank telephone like his parents had and eventually found one. He was sentimental and liked to reminisce of the past. Randy would have loved to have been stuck in the 1960's with westerns, good TV, and family. He was very close to his sister Vicki and spent his last Christmas with her last month.
Surviving are his daughter Tina Rodriguez of Iowa Falls; his siblings Vicki (Perry) Ryan of Marshalltown and Terry Schoborg of Florida; many dear friends he has had since childhood; and other family.
In death, he rejoined his parents, and daughter, Sherry Beadle.
