Judy Carol Hamlett Gentry, 74, of 125 New Country Rd., Roxboro, died Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Born in Danville, VA, Mrs. Gentry was the daughter of the late Herman Hamlett and Lena Lunsford Agee.
Mrs. Gentry retired from Duke Hospital with over 30 years service and was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. She volunteered with the Guardian ad Litem program. She was an avid Duke Basketball fan and enjoyed gardening, shopping and her fur babies.
Mrs. Gentry is survived by her husband, Maurice Rimmer; her son, Jeff Gentry; three sisters, Lois Oakes (Kermit), Cindy Wilkins (Billy) and Lena Kaye Warren (R.C.).
Funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Barry Chambers. Burial will follow in the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM prior to the service at the Brooks & White Chapel.
