Mr. Richard Lynn Allen, age 74 of Mayfield, KY, passed away at 12:27 AM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his residence. Richard was retired after 30 years of service form the former General Tire & Rubber Company in Mayfield, he attended the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Draffenville, KY and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife -Brenda Allen of Mayfield, KY; daughter - Kimberly Allen of Mayfield, KY; daughter - Elizabeth Lamb of Mayfield, KY; son - Van (Audrea) Allen of Mayfield, KY; son - Matthew Allen of Mayfield, KY; daughter - Hope Allen of Mayfield, KY; sister - Regina Hutchens of Farmington, KY; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents - Almon & Nettie Ruth (Hutchens) Allen; son - Louis Thomas Allen; two brothers - Dale Allen and Steven Allen. Funeral services for Richard will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Matthew Allen will deliver the eulogy for his father. Friends are invited to call between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Mayfield American Legion Post #26.
