John King married Nancy Elizabeth Sanford on February 4, 1845.
John King was born in what is now Taliaferro County Georgia and moved to Cains, GA (near Hog Mountain) Gwinnett County GA about 1850. John and his wife Nancy joined the Hog Mountain Baptist Church by letter on May 5, 1855 from Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, (Gwinnett County) Georgia. He was elected as deacon on August 20, 1859.
