Kenneth "Norman" Funderburk, 91 of Waverly Hall, GA passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.


Mr. Funderburk best known by his family and friends as Norman was born November 2, 1932, in Tampa, FL the son of Robert Calvin Funderburk and Mary Davidson Funderburk. He was a retired carpenter. He worked for several construction companies over the years but retired self-employed home builder. He enjoyed woodworking and built many things for his grandchildren over the years. He was a member of the Meriwether County Hunting Club and loved working in his garden even at 91 years old. He was a former member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church and attended lately Harmony Church of the Nazarene both in Warm Springs, GA. Mr. Funderburk was always strong in his faith, he loved the Lord his Savior. He was always showing his faith by his good works in helping those in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, his beloved wife of 71 years Gloria Maxine Funderburk and son Kenneth Wayne Funderburk.


Graveside services for Mr. Kenneth "Norman" Funderburk will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Meriwether Memory Gardens in Manchester, GA.


The family requests no flowers, but make donations to the Harmony Church of the Nazarene in Warm Springs, GA.
