Howard Benjamin Hunter was born Irvin C. Lisetor and was renamed by his adoptive family.

1920 Census says that Irvin/ Irwin C. Lisetor was 7 months old and living with his biological parents Orrie Draper "Jack" Lisetor and Lottie Gertrude Dowty in Kansas City, Missouri.

His biological parents split and his mother moved to Louisiana, apparently back to her first family. It appears she took Irvin with her. Irvin was then adopted by a family member of Lottie's in Lousiana where Irvin's name was changed to Howard B. Hunter.

Subsequently, Lottie Gertrude remarried to a man with the last name Couvillion.

Per Obituary:

Services for Howard Ben Hunter, 63, of Pineville will be at 9 a.m. today in chapel of Rush with the Rev. Jim Spencer Officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Gardens.
