OBITUARY FOR JAMES WILLIAM BRINKMEIER, SR.

James William Brinkmeier, Sr., 91, of Inwood, WV passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at his home.

Born September 12, 1932 in Wheeling, WV to the late Andrew William Brinkmeier and Gertrude Cecelia Manning Brinkmeier.

He was an Air Force Veteran that served in the Korean War. His love of bingo was legendary as was his support for the Middleway Fire Department. He was active in his church, St. Leo Catholic Church.

James is survived by his sons James W. Brinkmeier, Jr., and wife Susan, Joseph E. Brinkmeier and wife Darlene; daughter, Katherine Bland, and husband Michael; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane "Mollie" (Wickham) Brinkmeier in 2015.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Alfred Obiudu celebrant.

In lieu of flowers please make donation to St. Leo Catholic Church at 2019 Sulphur Springs Rd. Inwood, WV 25428.
