He was born on July 14, 1941 in Muskegon, MI son of the late Robert G. and Marjorie E. (Totsch) Beck. For most of his working career Laverne was employed with Leonard Dufon Landscaping. He had a great fascination for cars, especially Antique Autos. He enjoyed camping and listening to all kinds of rock and roll music.
He is survived by his brother Calvin J. Beck of Manistee, MI, his friend and caregiver David Kelley of Manistee, MI, his brother-in-law, Leonard Mikolajczak of Manistee, MI and his children Jodi Sibley and Todd Mikolajczak and a great niece Ceara Sibley.
In addition to his parents, Laverne was also preceded in death by his infant sister Donna Mae Beck, his sister Cynthia S. Mikolajczak and his brother Galen Beck.
Cremation has taken place and private family graveside services will take place at the Conway Cemetery in Arcadia, MI.
