Clifford L. Venters, 82, of rural Delphi, IN, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 8:54 AM at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi, IN.

He was born on March 15, 1941 in Anderson, IN to the late Orville and Tilda May (Acton) Venters. His marriage was to Barbara A. "Bobbie" Sheetz in Delphi, IN on January 3, 1964 and she preceded him in death on November 12, 2017.

Cliff attended Delphi High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for Pearson's in Delphi for 52 years. Starting in the fertilizer plant, then delivered LP gas and worked on furnaces for many years, and in his retirement, he worked at the former Pearson's Marina delivering boats to customers. He was a member of the Delphi American Legion Post 75 and the Delphi VFW Post 9383. Cliff enjoyed fishing and loved to be outdoors and especially enjoyed keeping his yard mowed just right and maintaining his property where he lived. He collected coins and liked watching NASCAR, especially his favorite driver, #48 Jimmy Johnson. Cliff loved to take country drives, especially where the deer and wild turkeys would be out in the fields. He loved his family and enjoyed being together for any occasion.

Surviving are two daughters; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer; two brothers, Junior and Ollie; and three sisters - Norma, Berdina and Wanda.

There will be no services at this time. A private family graveside service will take place at IOOF Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg, IN at a later date.
