Bernadine A. (Pavlicko) Chiaradia of Allentown passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on January 8th, 2024. She was the cherished wife of the late Paul G. Chiaradia. Born to John and Mary (Kostka) Pavlicko, she grew up in Egypt PA as the youngest of 4 sisters.

She was a graduate of Whitehall High School. Bernie was a member of the Optimist Club, Jr. Women's Club and Brookside Country Club, a catechism instructor at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and an avid golfer. She loved traveling with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren at Lake Wallenpaupack and later the beach, reading and sharing book reviews with family and friends, tending her gardens and music of all diverse genres. By far her greatest achievement and source of joy in this life was her family; Bernie took great pride in the legacy that she and Paul left behind. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ann and Margaret.

She is survived by daughter Cindy (husband Michael); son Paul John; 4 grandchildren, Chiara (husband Matthew), Jack (fiancée Courtney), Peter and Nicole; 3 step grandchildren Madeline (Neil), Rebecca (Ruben) and Ben; her sister Irene; nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Mon., January 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Cathedral Church of St. Catherine of Sienna, 1825 West Turner St., Allentown directly followed by a memorial luncheon at Hotel Bethlehem. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
