She is not to be confused with the so called Alice Westlake Endecott like many trees show. Years ago a historian made the assumption and it's been spread all over the internet. It's been proven Alice Westlake never married Thomas Endecott. He married secondly to Alice Blackaller Andrew. Neither the mythical Alice Westlake nor Alice Blackaller Endecott was the mother of Gov. John Endacott.
Alice Blackaller first married Christopher Andrew on 12 Jun 1593 at St. Andrew Church in Stoke-in-Teignhead and they had Christopher 26 Oct 1594, Anne 28 Dec 1596, Henry 28 Oct 1599, John 5 Jul 1603, Walter 12 Jun 1606 and Thomas 13 Aug 1609.
Most trees show Gregory as their son but he wasn't. His father Thomas Andrew was a cousin of Christopher Andrew. After being orphaned he went to live with Christopher Andrew and Alice (Blackaller) Andrew.
She married secondly to Thomas Endecott on 17 Jul 1612 at St Andrews Church in Stokeinteignhead, Devon, England.
Thomas and Alice Blackaller Andrew had a son John and Margaret. Several Find a grave memorials state their daughter married Rogar Ludlow which is wrong. Rogar Ludlow married Gov. John Endecott's sister in law Mary Cogan. Her sister Elizabeth Cogan was Gov. Endicott's second wife.
