Gertrude Edwards

Gertrude Edwards, 90, passed away on Sept. 10 of cancer. She was born in Cotter, Ark. to Virgil and Allie Stacy.
She married Norman Edwards in 1945 and was widowed in December of 1991.
Gertrude spent most of her working career in the aircraft management industry with Solar Aircraft in San Diego. After retirement in the mid 70s, she and her husband moved to Martinez Lake, Ariz. where they lived until moving to Napa in 1989. After her husband passed away in 1991, Gertrude moved to Perris to be with her daughter, granddaughter and two great grandsons who were the light of her life.
She moved back to Napa in September of 1999.
Gertrude loved to cook and was very good at it, as those who enjoyed her meals will attest.
She is survived by her son, Jim Edwards of Napa; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Kaye. Hanna of Wichita, Kan.; her daughter, Margaret Evitt of Perris; numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and the two diamonds in her crown of loved ones, Andy and Matt.
Gertrude generously elected to donate her body to medical science. Donations can be made to Hospice of Napa.
