Marjorie Bosquet Swainston
1925-2012
LEHI, Utah - Marjorie peacefully passed on November 16, 2012, at her daughter's home in Lehi, Utah. She was born November 8, 1925, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Cecil Stanhope and Dorothy Robison Bosquet. She married Charles Melvin Carlsen in 1942 & later divorced. She married her soul mate Parley Tanner Swainston on February 19, 1970, and was sealed November 8, 1972, in the LDS Temple in Ogden, Utah.
Nana's most prized possessions were her testimony in her Savior Jesus Christ and her adoring family whom she was always grateful for. Nana was a veracious reader and scriptorian. She researched the Gospel extensively and shared it with everyone. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, camping, and swimming. She served in many callings in the LDS Church including fulfilling two missions with her sweetheart, Parley.
Marjorie is survived by her 14 children whom she dearly loves. Her Carlsen children: Terry (Tom), Richard (Nancy), Stephen, Sandi (Kip), Christine (Kevin), Dennis, Skip (Debbie). Her Swainston children: Elden (Jeannie), Margaret (Roy), Lon (Kari), Matt (Cecilia), Mark, Mary (Barrie), Annie & Janice's husband John Stone, plus a host of adored grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her eternal companion Parley T. Swainston & loved ones Charles M. Carlsen, Claire Mason Carlsen, her great-grandson Austin Mallow, Janice Stone & Parley McKnight Swainston.
Now returned to the arms of her Savior, we will feel her love as she watches over us.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 24th, at 10 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 8:45 to 9:45 both held at Larkin Mortuary. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. at Whitney Cemetery in Franklin, Idaho.
