Iwanda Beatrice (Bonnett) Blesing, 92, of Ballinger, Texas passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, in Yukon, Oklahoma.

She was born on September 18, 1931, to Marion Malcolm and Blanche Beatrice (Turner) Bonnett in Leander, Texas.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Abilene Christian College.

On December 19, 1953, she married the love of her life Martin Leon Blesing in a ceremony in Liberty Hill, Texas. They shared over 64 years together before his passing in February of 2017.

Iwanda was a woman of many talents. In her youth she picked cotton, drove the tractor, rode horses, and was an avid deer hunter with her largest trophy being a 22-point buck. After her children were born, she worked for the Georgetown Savings & Loan before entering the Georgetown School System teaching Physical Education, Shorthand, and Typing, as well as being a school bus driver. She worked alongside Martin as his "ranch hand" helping to haul hay, plow the fields, and birth calves and goats. Together they were Amway Distributors for many years, reaching the level of Direct Distributors. She loved to prepare meals for her family and friends, always spoiling each and every one with their favorites. She was a member of the Joyful Noise singing group at Ninth Street, a seamstress, taught herself how to tatt, crochet, machine embroidery, knit both manually and with electronic knitting machines, designing several personalized patterns. She loved her family, enjoyed teaching and sharing her talents with them, and playing 42. She continually showered them with her handmade gifts up to the very end. Over the years she and Martin were caregivers for her mother-in-law, parents, uncle, and brother and were long-time faithful members of the Church of Christ.

Iwanda is preceded in death by her husband Martin Leon Blesing, parents Marion and Blanche Bonnett, brothers Herschell and Norman Bonnett, and sister Reba Siegmund.

She is survived by her children, Dana Blesing of Ballinger, Randle Blesing and wife Tonya of Menard, Rondle Blesing and wife Kaila of Ballinger, and Jana Barnes and husband, Mark of Yukon, OK; eight grandchildren, Sarah Christian and husband Seth of Miles, Bethanie Cody and husband John of Tyler, Stephanie Mills and husband Brent of Leander, Adam Barnes and wife Anne of Edmond, OK, David Blesing and wife Hanna of Sonora, Katie Walker and husband Paul of Edmond, OK, Phillip Blesing and wife Lilly of Flower Mound, and Shelby Martinez and husband Raul of Kyle; 15 wonderful great-grandchildren, Aiden, Will, Whitney, Evelyn, James, Kelbi, Harper, Brenlee, Colton, Bailee, Canton, Claire, Grady and Mabel, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00-5:30 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Her funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Ninth Street Church of Christ in Ballinger with Royce Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Medina Children's Home or the Cherokee Home For Children in Iwanda's memory.
